The Good:
1990 Daihatsu Rocky SX 4X4
270,000+ miles - Very reliable over the years.
A Newer (used) engine was installed in September of 2005.
1.6 liter inline 4 cylinder engine, 16 valves, EFI
30" X 9.5" Oversized tires on stock 15" rims purchased from Sears so if you use my name, you can continue the Lifetime Tire Rotation performed at any Sears Automotive Store.
4 wheel drive works fine
Removable Sunroof and Rear Top. Great for the summertime.
In-Dash Voltmeter, Inclinometer and Digital Clock. All work great.
In-Dash AM FM CD MP3 Player. Not connected to the existing in-dash and rear speakers. You can do it with a basic knowledge of stereo systems. The High Performance Audio System has been removed so there are speaker holes in the doors and rear panels.
The Alarm is connected to Power Door Locks - Keyless Entry
Cruise Control
A folder full of receipts back to the cars birth date. Oil changes, repairs, etc.
New front and rear brake pads (6-2006)
New windshield (2-2006)
New battery (10-2005)
New Fuel Pump (10-2005)
New Clutch Cable (12-2006)
Alternator is 2 months old and NOT working. It's overcharging right now but will get you around all day once started. Read 'THE QUESTIONABLE' below.
High-Flow air intake for the engine.
Air Conditioning (Not working, I think it just needs to be recharged)
Super white headlights
Original 1990 Daihatsu Rocky Service Manual (the actual book, not a CD ROM).
Original Rocky spare tire cover (not shown in the pictures but shown here)
4 Roof mounted off-road lights 55 Watts each. (flash when arming or disarming the alarm, good for finding the car in parking lots)
2 front bumper mounted driving lights.
Tinted windows all around
Piano Tuning sticker will be taken off
No rust or major damage or accidents
Straight frame.
Any parts I've ever needed have been found or ordered from the local auto parts store. (I use Kragen)
The car runs great when the alternator is working properly.

The questionable:
I'm not allowed to work on my car where I live now so I'm not going to fix any of the following.
* I went to the DMV today (3-1-07) to get a copy of the TITLE and they said it would take 2 to 4 weeks to get to me so you can either wait for me to get it or you can go to the DMV and get one yourself after ownership transfer.
* The Power Steering Pump is leaking oil onto the alternator causing it to fail every few months. I purchase a new alternator and then return the failed alternator a few days later stating that it doesn't work. The alternators I purchase have a lifetime warrantee so I get my money back. To fix this problem, you need to either fix the Power Steering Pump or put some kind of simple shield over the alternator so the oil doesn't drip into it.
* The engine Leaks Motor Oil, less than 1 quart every 3000 miles.
* The Registration just expired. (February 2007) You need to Register and Smog it to drive it legally.
* The Oxygen Sensor wire has come off of the sensor.
* Front left fender paint is fading.
* Fiberglass roof top paint is fading.
* Front right corner of the hood is dented.
* Miscellaneous chips in the paint, normal for a car that's been 270,000+ miles.
* The Check Engine light is on giving me a code 12 error which is the EGR valve. Has nothing to do with driving performance.
* There is no Catalytic Converter. I had a straight pipe welded in place of it after being stuck out in the desert.

The Vehicle does not come with the license plate:   WIRELIS    I'm keeping that since I own the web site also.

The car is being sold As Is.
I am upfront with everything about the vehicle. Just ask me if there's something you don't see on this page.
